When you make Jesus the center of your whole existence and trust Him in every area of your life, I can’t tell you how much comfort and peace you will have when things work out for you (and/or even when they don’t). The reason being is that no matter the outcome, you can be confident it is God’s-doing and not your own, so it’s gonna be for the best no matter what!!

Becoming more like Christ will hurt. It will hurt because we are comfortable in our flesh. And we are comfortable in our flesh because we are born in iniquity. But once born again through Christ by faith, we become slaves to righteousness. We begin to see ourselves mourn over our sin and yearn to become like Christ. And to become like Christ is the consistent killing of ourselves, our desires, our wants. Giving them up for the ultimate satisfaction and majesty found in Him. For He alone can satisfy.
